The NES Classic Edition: Let’s Get Retro

While we were all on the lookout for slight glimpses into Nintendo’s new console, code named “NX”, the company managed to catch us by surprise with the announcement of mini “console” hitting stores this fall. Without a single leak or vague announcement to stay tuned, Nintendo announced the NES Classic Edition, a miniature Nintendo Entertainment System that comes loaded with 30 classic games. Much like those bootleg systems you see at flea markets or even sketchy mall kiosks, this Nintendo system is simple plug and play, emulating games straight to your TV. Since its announcement, there’s been a lot speculation, controversy, and excitement regarding this bite-sized retro gaming machine. So, I figured I’d give a quick analysis on my take of this the NES Classic Edition and highlight a few of the 30 games. So, without further ado, grab a seat and your 30 Anniversary Mario Amiibo because we’re about to get retro. Buckle up.

E3 2016 Highlights – Part 1

 Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo

After another year of waiting, one of the biggest events in gaming is upon us. E3, Electronic Entertainment Expo, is an industry only event where game developers from around the world showcase their latest video games. This year’s E3 managed to give way to some of the best conference in years from both Microsoft and Sony. To highlight a few of the games shown, I’ve prepared a list of my Top 3 from each conference with a small description. This list is purely personal opinion and I had a extremely hard time choosing between the games for Sony and Microsoft this year.
