Scum’s Wish Review

Cross-posted from my work at TheDigiQuest.com

Love is complicated. It’s an age old saying that will never lose its meaning and in one way or another, we’re all searching for it, or something like it.

Scum’s Wish is the story of that complication found in love and the emptiness left behind when your love isn’t reciprocated. When you can’t have the one you love, can you find comfort in someone else? In a replacement?

Upcoming Anime of Spring 2017 – Part 1

Cross-posted from my work at TheDigiQuest.com

Every anime season, I snoop around AniChart and MyAnimeList for those special upcoming anime that will integrate into my weekly routine over the next three months. I prepare a list of everything I predict will be noteworthy and whatever else my silly anime taste picks up along the way. Thus far, each season has been a fairly tight list, consisting of no more than four series that peak my interest. And, while I’ve missed one or two gems, I’m pretty confident in my keen eye. This time, however, Spring is jam-packed with so many anime that I’ll be splitting this list into two posts. So, buckle up anime boys and girls because the Japanese train is about to roll on into the station with a heaping supply of fresh anime.

Fall 2016 Anime – Impressions

If you’ve read my earlier post, “Fall 2016 Anime – Most Anticipated“, then you would see that I mentioned quite the lineup of anime I’d be giving a try. Unfortunately, due to becoming increasingly more busy, this anime season got away from me. I’ve only been keeping up with a few shows thus far and, while we’re deeper into the season than usual for these posts, I still wanted to give my impressions of these series. Sorry about being late but let’s still jump into our impressions of the Fall 2016 Anime season (oh and we have a sleeper hit this time).

Fall 2016 Anime – Most Anticipated

Update: This post has also been shared with Creators.co (with some formatting variations). What you are viewing here is my original version.

With the summer season wrapping up, the time to scout out the upcoming series coming this fall is upon us. Unfortunately, I’m concerned that the future is looking pretty bleak. A time of year that once stood as one of the biggest seasons, jam-packed with some of the years most anticipated anime, has become a place where random sequel seasons, ecchi harems, and other generic series are given a spot in the limelight. Sure, there are plenty of anime this fall that will appeal to a wide array of people but I’m at the point that I don’t want to watch something for the sake of watching anime, I want to watch something that genuinely looks good and interesting (and no, an anime like Keijo!!!!!!!! / Hip Whip Girl isn’t what I have in mind when I say interesting). This season, there are really only a few standout series that remind you why you get excited to watch anime.

Summer 2016 Anime – First Impressions

Ah yes, the summer heat is now truly upon us, giving us the perfect opportunity to stay indoors and watch anime (thank you 112 degree Arizona heat). I’ve prepared some short impressions of each anime I’m watching this season, for a total of six. I was going to try New Game! but never managed to squeeze it into my schedule. Oh well. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at the 2016 Anime Season of Dreams.
